"10-Week Introduction to Breathwork & Meditation"

Embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery with this 10-week course focusing on pranayama (breath control) and meditation techniques. Each week, we explore a different pranayama practice to enhance your physical and mental well-being, paired with a unique meditation technique to deepen mindfulness and awareness.

This beginner-friendly course is designed to help you develop tools for managing stress, improving focus, and finding calm in daily life. Classes include opening stretches, guided breathwork, meditation, and time for Q&A and personal reflection. You’ll also receive ongoing support through a class WhatsApp group, ensuring you feel guided every step of the way.

General Course Structure:
  • Duration per class: 60 minutes + 20 minutes pre-class Q&A

  • Weekly Breakdown:

    • Opening stretches (5-10 min)

    • Pranayama practice (20-25 min)

    • Meditation technique (20-25 min)

    • Closing relaxation (5-10 min)

Week 1: Foundations of Breath and Awareness

  • Opening Stretches: Gentle neck, shoulder, and chest openers.

  • Pranayama: Intro to the importance of breath, Diaphragmatic Breathing (Dirga Pranayama).

  • Meditation Technique: Mindfulness of Breath (Anapanasati).

  • Closing Relaxation: Simple body scan for awareness.

Week 2: Energizing the Body

  • Opening Stretches: Seated side stretches, spinal twists.

  • Pranayama: Kapalabhati (Skull Shining Breath) for energy.

  • Meditation Technique: Counting the Breath for focus and clarity.

  • Closing Relaxation: Gentle guided relaxation with breath awareness.

Week 3: Calming the Mind

  • Opening Stretches: Gentle forward folds and side bends.

  • Pranayama: Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing) for balance.

  • Meditation Technique: Loving-Kindness Meditation (Metta).

  • Closing Relaxation: Soft reclined pose, focus on letting go.

Week 4: Breathing for Stress Relief

  • Opening Stretches: Chest openers and cat-cow stretches.

  • Pranayama: Sama Vritti (Equal Breathing) to find calm.

  • Meditation Technique: Body Scan Meditation.

  • Closing Relaxation: Reclined savasana with focus on breath.

Week 5: Uplifting and Energizing

  • Opening Stretches: Backbends and chest expansion.

  • Pranayama: Bhastrika (Bellows Breath) for invigoration.

  • Meditation Technique: Visualization Meditation (guided light or energy imagery).

Week 8: Detoxifying and Releasing

  • Pranayama: Lion’s Breath (Simhasana) for emotional release.

  • Meditation Technique: Mantra Meditation (using a simple word or sound like "Om").

  • Closing Relaxation: Reclined Savasana with a focus on releasing tension.

Week 9: Enhancing Focus and Clarity
